As mentioned on the inaugural edition of "Access Points", I am writing a personal book of quotes. Many of you were kind enough to send me your thoughts, and I am inspired by your support and heartfelt encouragement.
As a result, you can now expect to receive "Access Points" weekly, and an "Access Performance" newsletter monthly. The weekly format is designed to be a brief dose of thought-provoking inspiration, the monthly edition is published as a story of an individual who has overcome great odds to achieve a breakthrough performance in their life.
I hope this work not only continues to provide you energy, I hope that it can become a catalyst for you to exceed your own expectations in the great game of life.

"Until your mission becomes your obsession, your life will be designed by distraction."
- James K. McPartland
Particularly in this age of an incredible amount of information at our fingertips, we are highly vulnerable to distraction. The need to respond instantly to every email, phone call, text, or social media post as quickly as possible is "re-wiring our brain" to be addicted to distraction. We literally crave the next "ping", making it virtually impossible to go for any stretch without checking our technology. In the ADHD-like state, we struggle to focus for long periods of time, and find difficulty in thinking deeply about one thought, idea, or task.
Focus requires discipline, and is a continuous reminder (to ourselves) of what we are committed to becoming and fulfilling the mission of our life.
