More often than not, we can find ourselves playing not to lose, as opposed to playing to win. Safety is a seductive illusion - living a powerful and fulfilling life requires a great deal of time outside of our comfort zone. New growth happens out on the skinny branches and, what is most important, is to give life all you've got while you are here.
No one is designed to play small. The phrase is "growing pains" for good reason.
