"Your thoughts have consequences so great that they create your reality."
— James McPartland
We are no greater than the thoughts we think. We are walking, talking expressions of our deepest convictions. The actions we take are our highest form of thought expression, as they communicate what we are focusing on and what we believe. Put another way, our life is a mirror image of our mind.
We have the power to manifest the results we want to see and the life we want to live, but it requires a heightened level of awareness. Exceptional people recognize they have enormous influence over their lives, and they create their reality one thought at a time.
Consider this chain of related events:
Thinking the same thoughts > leads to the same choices > causing the same behaviors > creating the same experiences > producing the same emotions > driving the same thoughts > neurochemically keeping us the same > thus reinforcing the story of who we think we are and creating our reality.
If you want to change your life, you can, but you have to take it one step at a time. Creating an extraordinary reality requires a sequence of deliberate activities.
Think about what you think about, study your behavior, consider your experiences, and connect with your emotions. I personally believe that it’s impossible to achieve a specific outcome if, deep down, I don't believe it’s possible. We cannot change a behavior without first changing the underlying belief. This takes practice. Finally, as a form of practice, you may find that it’s easier to act your way into a new way of thinking than to think your way into a new way of acting.
