"Life does not happen to you, it happens for you."
— James McPartland
Choosing to respond versus react to this pandemic, asking what it all might mean, who we might become through the challenge, and seeking to find the good in this difficult situation requires discipline and deliberate intention. There is always another way to see life’s circumstances, as we have access to incredible lessons on a daily basis.
We just have to be willing to look at life’s challenges differently
The greatest opportunity for growth often lies in our most trying challenges. Setbacks hold the potential to be our greatest teachers, disappointment is just a test of our desire, the word no often only means not yet, and loss leaves space for gain.
Remember that gifts come in all shapes and sizes, when least expected, and most often without wrapping paper and ribbon. When we come to understand and appreciate the value of the gift, we need to be willing to turn around and share those gifts with others.
The only life lessons we get to keep are the ones we are willing to give away.
